Breastfeeding in public

July 26, 2018

BREASTFEEDING in public... How do I feel about it? well, I'll tell you right now that it doesn't bother me. You know why it doesn't bother me? Because I look at breastfeeding as a mother feeding her hungry child.

I'm writing this because i feel that it needs to talked about...AGAIN. I know a lot of mothers have stood up for their right to breastfeed in public, and i want to congratulate those mothers. Breastfeeding in public should be welcomed anytime and not looked down upon.

The people that don't like mothers breastfeeding in public seem to think that the mother is just pulling out her boob to show it off to others... well, that's because they look onto breast as a sexual object.

When a women is breastfeeding she is only feeding her hungry child. And she chose to breastfeed because she feels that she can give her child the best source of nutrients possible. But yet, these same people are fine with other women wearing a bikini swimsuit or a very low cut see through shirt.

Breastfeeding is not easy work (especially at first). And when a new mother is out and about for the first time since having her child, and the child is hungry she doesn't need your criticism or your dirty looks. What she needs is encouragement, and thoughtful words.

There are a lot of people that would disagree with me on this, but there are even more people that would agree. I am for breastfeeding in public; whether the mother is covered or not.
